We are thrilled to announce the release of my debut album, Echoes of Silence, featuring 15 tracks that mark the beginning of a new musical journey. This project represents years of reflection, experimentation, and rediscovery, culminating in a deeply personal and creative body of work. Here’s the story behind the album and its tracks.
The Inspiration Behind the Album
After years of stepping away from music, I found myself drawn back to the studio, albeit unexpectedly and not without challenges. I was profoundly inspired by the new generation of artists—up-and-coming DJs and an eclectic mix of styles.
In my younger years, my heart was rooted in Hip-Hop and Alternative Rock, but the emergence of Reggaeton and other vibrant genres reignited my passion. However, I knew I wanted to carve out something uniquely mine.
Being in my forties, I have spent the last decade immersed in the sounds of the ’80s and ’90s, frequently revisiting legends like Depeche Mode, A-ha, and Duran Duran. Today’s scene brought me to artists like Allie X, Glass Spells, and TR/ST, which ultimately inspired me to explore Electric Goth, Darkwave, and Synthpop.

Each track on Echoes of Silence holds a piece of my story, reflecting moments of discovery, emotion, and artistry.

This track symbolizes the start of this new era for me. It was born spontaneously as I experimented in the studio, leading to a sound that truly felt like a “random creation.” - “Echoes of Silence”
A reflection on the universal experience of loneliness, this track dives into the depths of isolation and the yearning for connection. - “City Lights” ft. Nova Mirage
My ode to Tilburg, my beloved city. This track captures its urban energy and nightlife and will feature as my first music video, releasing on January 6, 2025. Collaborating on this project with Nova Mirage, a talented artist I’ve known for five years, was an absolute joy. Stay tuned for more from her mystic and inspiring performances. - “Black Eye”
A heartfelt cover of Allie X’s incredible work. My deepest gratitude to Alexandra Hughes and George Bezerra for the inspiration. - “Thorns & Roses”
This song explores the complexities of polyamory, shedding light on the joys and challenges of this unique relationship dynamic. - “Electric Dreams”
A standout track for me, and possibly for listeners too. Insiders may find it to be the crown jewel of the album. This song takes listeners on a journey through the decades, exploring the profound influence Synthpop has had on music and society since the 1980s. It’s a true voyage through time, showcasing how this genre shaped both the soundscape and the culture of modern music. - “Echo of Tomorrow”
A track with a bright future—I submitted it for the European Festival in Bern, 2025. Unfortunately, I wasn’t selected, and another artist will represent the Netherlands at the festival. But what is this song about? Echo of Tomorrow highlights the harsh realities of modern slavery, labor exploitation, and income inequality—issues that many in our society face daily. - “Umbrella”
A politically charged song, addressing contemporary societal issues. - “Wounds Unseen”
Perhaps the most poignant and painful track on the album, it delves into the harrowing story of an adult grappling with the scars of childhood abuse.
Two additional bonus tracks offer an intimate glimpse into my life and are left open to interpretation for those who listen.

Echoes of Silence is more than just an album; it’s a reflection of my journey, an artistic expression of the society we live in, and a bridge between past influences and future aspirations.
